New Jersey S2662 mandates midwives and physicians to inform pregnant women about birthing options before delivery.

New Jersey S2662 requires certified midwives and physicians practicing obstetrics to provide pregnant women with written information on all available birthing options before labor begins. This information must be in English and at least seven other common languages in New Jersey. The bill also mandates annual evidence-based education on birthing options. The Commissioner of Health will create rules to implement these provisions.
