This bill amends the "New Jersey Smoke-Free Air Act" to allow smoking in casinos and casino simulcasting facilities under specific conditions. Smoking is permitted in up to 25% of the casino floor and simulcasting facility, but only in designated smoking areas. These areas must be separated by solid walls, windows, a ceiling, and a solid door from non-smoking areas. Employees cannot be assigned to work in these smoking areas unless they voluntarily choose to do so. The bill also exempts certain areas such as cigar bars, lounges, golf courses, and designated beach areas from the smoking ban.
