New Jersey S2527 amends the Rooming and Boarding House Act of 1979 to subject certain rooming and boarding houses to municipal land use regulations. Owners and operators of cooperative sober living residences must submit written approvals from local zoning, fire, health, and building authorities as a condition for obtaining a Class F license. This bill also allows municipalities to enforce housing and property maintenance ordinances on buildings subject to the act.
