Expands access to substance use disorder treatment and requires Medicaid coverage for services provided by community-based organizations.

This bill expands access to substance use disorder treatment in New Jersey by revising laws and regulations concerning substance use disorder and opioid treatment programs. It establishes Medicaid coverage for substance use disorder services provided by community-based organizations. The Commissioner of Health, in consultation with the Commissioner of Human Services, will set standards and requirements for the licensure of these organizations and the provision of services.
