New Jersey S2431 requires the New Jersey Transit Corporation to equip every train set with an automated external defibrillator, ensuring they are in accessible locations and available during train operations. The corporation must ensure employees are trained in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and defibrillator use, and mark defibrillator locations with signs. The corporation is also required to notify emergency services of defibrillator locations. The corporation and its employees are immune from civil liability for the acquisition and use of defibrillators under state law.
