Allows certain licensed professionals to teach in private cosmetology and hairstyling schools in New Jersey.
This bill amends New Jersey law to allow licensed professionals in barbering, beauty culture, manicuring, hair braiding, or skin care to teach in private cosmetology and hairstyling schools. Previously, only those with a cosmetologist-hairstylist license could teach. The bill requires these professionals to meet certain requirements and prove their training is equivalent or superior to that required for a cosmetologist-hairstylist license. The change takes effect 90 days after enactment.
