The bill establishes the "Solar Roof Installation Warranty Program" within the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA). It aims to provide indemnification to commercial, industrial, and institutional building owners for damages to building roofs caused by the installation or design of solar photovoltaic equipment not covered by other warranties or insurance. The EDA is required to establish a "Solar Roof Installation Warranty Fund" to pay claims up to $50,000 per building.
