New Jersey S2388 mandates that local government water purveyors must give a 15-day written notice before discontinuing water supply to a property due to non-payment of water bills. This notice must be sent to the property owner, the last customer of record, and any tenants who may reside at the property but are not the customers of record. If the property is a multiple dwelling, the notice to tenants must also be posted in the common areas.
