Establishes "Volunteer Fire Company Assistance Program" to support volunteer fire companies' operations and sustainability; appropriates $10 million.

The bill establishes the "Volunteer Fire Company Assistance Program" within the Division of Fire Safety in the Department of Community Affairs. It creates a special fund, the "Volunteer Fire Company Assistance Program Fund," to be credited annually with money appropriated by the Legislature. The Director of the Division of Fire Safety is tasked with developing and administering a grant program to distribute funds to volunteer fire companies for ongoing operations and sustainability, including purchasing emergency equipment.
