Increases FY2024 appropriation to the Center for Great Expectations by $1.5 million.

New Jersey S2299 amends the annual appropriations act for fiscal year 2024, increasing the appropriation from the General Fund to the Department of Children and Families for the Center for Great Expectations by $1.5 million. This additional funding will support the Center's residential programs for adolescents and pregnant women, as well as outpatient substance abuse and mental health services. The Center, located in Somerset, provides housing and support to over 1,000 individuals annually, many of whom are homeless, economically marginalized, or pregnant.
