New Jersey S2286 allows the Governor to enter into interstate agreements for commercial cannabis activities between licensed entities in New Jersey.

New Jersey S2286 permits the Governor to authorize interstate commercial cannabis activities under certain conditions. The Governor must submit any proposed agreements to the Joint Budget Oversight Committee for a 60-day review and post them online for public comment for 30 days. The agreement can only become effective if federal law is amended to allow interstate cannabis transfers, the Department of Justice allows such transfers, or the Attorney General finds no significant legal risk.
