Introduced Text

Establishes a four-year STEM Scholars Grant Pilot Program in New Jersey to enhance STEM education.

This bill establishes the "New Jersey STEM Scholars Grant Pilot Program" within the Department of Education. The program will provide grants to school districts to enhance STEM education programs and increase access to STEM education. The grants will be awarded competitively and can be used for project-based learning, afterschool STEM, and out-of-school STEM activities. The STEM Scholars Grant Fund will be used to provide these grants, funded by state appropriations, private donations, and federal funds. The program aims to supplement, not replace, existing STEM activities in school districts.
