Extends child care subsidies to families earning up to 300 percent of federal poverty level; appropriates funds.

This bill raises the income limit for eligibility in New Jersey's subsidized child care assistance program to 300 percent of the federal poverty level. This change allows families with an annual income up to $83,250 for a family of four to qualify for child care subsidies. The Commissioner of Human Services will establish at least four income tiers for determining eligibility and placement on the co-payment schedule. The bill also appropriates necessary funds for implementation, subject to approval by the Director of the Office of Management and Budget.
