New Jersey S2142 mandates each cabinet level department to create a division focused on language and disability access.

New Jersey S2142 requires each cabinet level department to establish a division dedicated to addressing language and disability access issues. This division will support full inclusion and equal opportunity for persons with disabilities who work for, or receive services from, the department. The division is tasked with developing a language and disability access plan, implementing strategies for effective communication and accessibility, and providing annual reports on progress. The division head must be qualified by training and experience and will devote their entire time to these duties.
