New Jersey S2140 makes various changes to reporting requirements for independent expenditure committees. It aligns the reporting schedule for independent expenditure committees with that of continuing political committees. The bill also modifies the definition of electioneering communication, which now refers to communications valued at over $3,000 in the aggregate during any calendar year that refer to a candidate or a public question and are made within 60 days before an election.
