This bill establishes a legislative internship program in New Jersey, allowing members of the Legislature to employ interns with the approval of the presiding officer of their House. The program is open to full-time or part-time students attending accredited institutions of higher education, excluding juris doctorate and PhD programs. New Jersey residents and students attending New Jersey institutions receive priority. Interns receive a $1,000 stipend for each completed work period, paid bi-weekly or monthly.
