Exempts local utilities from certain reporting requirements related to the coronavirus 2019 pandemic.
New Jersey S2128 exempts local utilities from certain reporting requirements related to the coronavirus 2019 pandemic. Previously, both public and local utilities were required to report on the pandemic's impact on supply, demand, revenues, expenses, and other metrics. This bill changes the law so that only public utilities must report this information. The Board of Public Utilities will no longer need to consult with the Department of Community Affairs when implementing these provisions.
