Introduced Text

New Jersey S2104 requires COAH to administer affordable housing obligations of municipalities based on Statewide obligation.

New Jersey S2104 mandates that the Council on Affordable Housing (COAH) administer the affordable housing obligations of municipalities based on a Statewide obligation. The bill centralizes the administration of affordable housing at the State level, eliminating the current municipality-to-municipality patchwork approach. COAH would calculate the affordable housing need of the entire State and assign a fair share of this obligation to selected municipalities.
