Allows PFRS members to buy credit for service as a class two special law enforcement officer.

This bill permits members of the Police and Firemen's Retirement System (PFRS) to purchase credit for service as a class two special law enforcement officer with a public employer in New Jersey, rendered prior to becoming a member. The member may purchase credit for all or a portion of the service, up to a maximum of 10 years. The purchase process and cost will be the same as for federal employment or U.S. military service, except for the specific conditions related to the break in service and the one-year application window for members enrolled on the effective date of this bill.
