Introduced Text

New Jersey S2068 requires all revenue from the casino hotel facility room occupancy fee to be provided to the Casino Reinvestment Development.

New Jersey S2068 amends existing law to ensure that all revenue generated by the casino hotel facility room occupancy fee is deposited into a special fund held by the State Treasurer and made available for the exclusive use of the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA). Previously, $1.00 of the fee was allocated to the CRDA, while the remaining $2.00 was deposited into the Casino Revenue Fund. This bill changes that, so all $3.00 of the fee will support the CRDA's purposes.
