New Jersey S205 revises penalties for certain limousine law violations. It increases fines and adds suspensions and impoundments for repeat offenses. For operating a limousine without a license, permitting a driver without a valid license, or failing to file an insurance policy, the bill imposes a fine of $7,500, a six-month driver's license suspension, and vehicle impoundment for the third and any subsequent offense. It also increases fines for operating a limousine without special registration plates or proper inspection.
