The bill establishes the Military Funeral Honors Grant Program to provide grants to qualified veteran organizations that provide military funeral honors. The Adjutant General of the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs will establish the grant program, which will provide grants up to $75 per funeral. A qualified veteran organization must enter into a grant agreement with the department to receive a grant. The department may charge a nominal fee for participation in the grant program and may claim up to five percent of the moneys annually appropriated to cover administrative expenses.
