New Jersey S2021 establishes a five-year grant program to provide $1 million in funding to the NJ Racing Commission. This funding will support organizations dedicated to the care of retired Standardbred and Thoroughbred horses. Each year, the commission will award $100,000 to an accredited organization for Standardbred horses and $100,000 to an accredited organization for Thoroughbred horses. To qualify, applicants must be nonprofit organizations accredited by relevant bodies and demonstrate financial stability, operational transparency, and adherence to industry best practices.
