Introduced Text

New Jersey S2014 establishes a grant program to reimburse public school teachers for classroom material expenditures.

New Jersey S2014 creates a grant program within the Department of Education to reimburse public school teachers for classroom material expenditures. The reimbursement amount per teacher is capped at $250 per school year, unless there are remaining funds to cover teachers who spent more than $250. Eligible teachers must submit receipts for classroom supplies in the manner prescribed by the district. If funds remain after reimbursing teachers, the school district must hold the funds in reserve for the same purpose in the subsequent school year.
