New Jersey S2012 provides tuition-free credits for certain retired law enforcement officers, firefighters, and their dependents.

New Jersey S2012 offers tuition-free credits to certain institutions of higher education for retired law enforcement officers and firefighters who retired due to service-related injuries or illnesses. The bill also extends this benefit to the spouses and dependents of officers or firefighters who died in the line of duty. The State will reimburse institutions for tuition costs not covered by federal and State student grants and scholarships. Eligible individuals must meet academic progress requirements and apply for all available grants and scholarships.
