New Jersey S1955 creates protections for insurers and insurance producers engaging in business with cannabis-related businesses.

New Jersey S1955 establishes protections for insurers and insurance producers who engage in business with cannabis-related businesses. The bill prohibits state and local government agencies from discouraging insurers or insurance producers from engaging in insurance business with cannabis-related businesses, or from taking adverse actions against them for doing so. It also shields insurers, insurance producers, and their officers, directors, and employees from liability for engaging in insurance business with cannabis-related businesses or investing income derived from such business.
