New Jersey S1945 requires each principal department in the Executive Branch to conduct a comprehensive review of their COVID-19 preparedness, response, and recovery efforts. This includes evaluating actions taken before and after the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a public health emergency and a global pandemic. The review must also assess the impact of laws, executive orders, regulations, and procedures related to the COVID-19 state of emergency. Department heads must identify lessons learned and develop a preparedness plan for future emergencies.
