New Jersey S1899 allows holders of disabled veteran license plates or placards and certain Purple Heart license plate or placard holders to park in spots reserved for persons with disabilities. The bill defines "person with a disability" to include those with a permanent disability or limited mobility, as certified by a medical professional. Purple Heart recipients must also have a medical certification stating their ability to walk is limited or impaired.
