New Jersey S1872 amends the Highlands Water Protection and Planning Act to provide an exemption from permitting requirements for certain commercial corridor developments in the Highlands Region. This exemption applies to construction or reconstruction of commercial or industrial development within a commercial corridor. The bill also clarifies that municipalities and counties retain their planning and zoning authority for developments within commercial corridors.
