New Jersey S186 mandates the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) to issue special windshield stickers for electric vehicles owned or leased and registered in the state. These stickers indicate that the vehicles are exempt from emission inspections. The stickers are to be designed by the chief administrator, in consultation with the Director of the Division of Highway Traffic Safety in the Department of Law and Public Safety. There shall be no fee for the issuance of the stickers.
