New Jersey S1800 requires firearm retailers to provide customers with a written disclosure upon the retail sale or transfer of any firearm. The disclosure must be printed in block letters and signed by the purchaser or transferee. It informs customers of their responsibility to report lost or stolen firearms within 36 hours to the appropriate law enforcement authority and warns against purchasing firearms with the intent to sell to disqualified persons.
