New Jersey S1774 establishes minimum Medicaid reimbursement rates for ambulance transportation services. Effective July 1, 2024, the ground ambulance mileage reimbursement rate will be no less than $8.94 per loaded mile for emergency transportation of a Medicaid beneficiary. The rate will be adjusted annually to match the Medicare rate. Additionally, the reimbursement rate for basic life support emergency ambulance transportation services will be set at a minimum of $300 per transport, an increase from the current $58 rate.
