Authorizes home cultivation of medical cannabis for registered qualifying patients.

New Jersey S1758 authorizes home cultivation of medical cannabis for registered qualifying patients. Patients aged 21 and older can cultivate up to four mature and four immature cannabis plants for personal medical use. A designated caregiver can also cultivate cannabis on the patient's behalf. The bill requires patients to notify the Cannabis Regulatory Commission of their intent to home cultivate and specify the authorized cultivator. Patients can change their designated cultivator by notifying the commission, with a 10-day waiting period before plant transfer.
