New Jersey S1739 mandates the Department of Environmental Protection, in consultation with the State Agriculture Development Committee, to create model wildlife management plans for local public entities seeking to acquire or develop land for recreational and conservation purposes. Local entities can choose to use these models or submit their own plans, subject to approval. The bill also allows the use of constitutionally dedicated CBT revenues for activities under these plans.
