Introduced Text

New Jersey S168 requires boards of trustees of State colleges and universities and county colleges to include two college employees.

New Jersey S168 amends the law to allow two employees from each State college or university and county college to serve on their respective boards of trustees. These employee members are appointed by the Governor from a list of candidates recommended by labor organizations representing the employees. Employee members have full voting rights but cannot participate in matters affecting their own employment. The terms of these employee members are staggered, with initial terms of one and two years, and subsequent terms of two years.
