Extends eligibility for civil service and pension benefits for veterans in New Jersey.

New Jersey S1668 amends the definition of "veteran" to include any resident honorably discharged from active duty in the Armed Forces, a Reserve component, or the New Jersey National Guard. It removes the requirement of service during specific dates or in specific locations for eligibility for civil service preference benefits and pension benefits under the Teachers' Pension and Annuity Fund, the Public Employees' Retirement System, the Police and Firemen's Retirement System, and the State Police Retirement System.
