New Jersey S1665 waives certain alcoholic beverage license renewal fees in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and allows municipalities to do the same.

New Jersey S1665 mandates the Director of the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control to waive annual state license renewal fees for plenary retail consumption licenses, limited brewery licenses, and restricted brewery licenses. The bill also permits municipalities to waive the annual municipal license renewal fee for plenary retail consumption licenses. This waiver applies retroactively to March 9, 2020, and remains in effect until the expiration of coronavirus-related occupancy or seating restrictions or 12 months from the bill's enactment, whichever is later.
