New Jersey S1652 establishes a one-time tax credit for qualified organic farmers who incurred higher fees for certification in 2022. The credit applies to the difference between fees paid to the New Jersey Department of Agriculture and fees paid to an accredited certifying agent for organic agricultural products. To qualify, farmers must have been certified by the department on January 11, 2022, and paid fees for certification between May 30, 2022, and December 31, 2022.
