New Jersey S1638 provides tuition benefits at public institutions of higher education to New Jersey residents who are members of reserve components.

New Jersey S1638 amends current law to extend tuition benefits at public institutions of higher education to New Jersey residents who are members of reserve components of the Armed Forces of the United States. This includes members of the Army Reserve, Navy Reserve, Marine Reserve, Air Force Reserve, and Coast Guard Reserve. The bill also extends these benefits to children or surviving spouses of such members who were or are killed in the performance of their duties. To qualify, the child or surviving spouse must be a resident of New Jersey.
