New Jersey S1609 prohibits enforcement of certain trapping violations in areas under law enforcement investigation.

New Jersey S1609 prevents the Department of Environmental Protection or any authorized enforcer from issuing a violation to a trapping licensee for not checking a trap within the required time period if the trap is in an area under a law enforcement investigation and the licensee has been told to leave by a federal, state, or local law enforcement agent. This act takes effect immediately.
