Under the bill, a plenary retail consumption license used in connection with a premises on annexed land would be transferred to the governing body of the annexing municipality. The municipality from which land is annexed can issue a new license at public sale to replace any transferred license. The population limitation for issuing such licenses would not apply to licenses transferred or issued under this bill.
