New Jersey S1593 requires school districts to allow graduating students to wear a military sash while participating in high school graduation.

New Jersey S1593 amends the law to require school districts to allow graduating students to wear a military sash or stole issued by a branch of the United States Armed Forces during their high school graduation ceremony. This applies if the student has fulfilled all state and local requirements for receiving a high school diploma and is an active member of a branch of the United States Armed Forces. The bill takes effect immediately.
