The bill establishes the "County Tourism Incentive Grant Fund" within the Department of Treasury to provide funding for grants to counties to support tourism advertising and promotion. The fund will receive excess State hotel and motel occupancy fee revenues. The State Treasurer will issue annual grants to counties that apply, detailing how the funds will support tourism advertising and promotion. Counties must agree to use the funds for this purpose and repay the grants if not used accordingly. The State Treasurer can adopt rules and regulations to implement the fund's purposes.
