Permanent immunity for planned real estate developments from COVID-19 liability if required signs are posted.

New Jersey S1567 makes permanent the immunity for planned real estate developments from civil liability for COVID-19 exposure or transmission on their premises. This immunity applies if the developments prominently display a warning sign at the entrance of shared spaces. The immunity does not cover acts or omissions constituting a crime, actual fraud, actual malice, gross negligence, recklessness, or willful misconduct. This bill amends existing law to remove the expiration date of the immunity, which was set to expire on January 1, 2022.
