New Jersey S1543 authorizes "100 percent Disabled Veteran" license plates for qualified veterans and grants them handicapped parking privileges.

New Jersey S1543 authorizes the issuance of "100 percent Disabled Veteran" license plates for veterans who have been adjudicated as 100 percent disabled by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. These plates, which are free of charge, display the words "100 Percent Disabled Veteran" and an emblem chosen by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission. Holders of these plates are entitled to the same benefits, privileges, and considerations as those with handicapped license plates, including the privilege of parking in handicapped parking areas.
