Establishes a commission to study the effects of extended school days and school years.

The bill establishes the Extended School Day and School Year Study Commission to examine the effects of longer school days and school years on student achievement, learning environment, and educational offerings. The commission will review schedules from other states and issue a final report to the Governor and Legislature within six months of its organizational meeting. The commission will consist of 13 members, including appointees from the Senate, General Assembly, and various education associations.
