S.1506

New Jersey S1506 changes the date of "Juneteenth Day" to June 19 each year.

New Jersey S1506 amends the state's paid holidays for government employees, changing the date of "Juneteenth Day" from the third Friday in June to June 19 each year. This change aligns the state holiday with the federal "Juneteenth National Independence Day." The bill also includes provisions for other state holidays and specifies that certain days, like Saturdays, are considered secular or business days. The changes will take effect immediately upon enactment.
