New Jersey S1445 requires public institutions of higher education to readmit undergraduate students who withdrew due to military service, including active duty or National Guard duty. The student must be readmitted with the same academic status they held before their service. Readmission is granted upon written request for the next academic semester after the request. The institution cannot charge any fees for this readmission process. The act takes effect immediately and applies to the first full academic year following its enactment.
