New Jersey S1426 requires the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA) to develop a request for proposal (RFP) for a demonstration program to establish electric vehicle charging depots serviced by distributed energy resource charging centers. The program aims to create infrastructure for the very high coincident load charging of electric vehicles. The EDA must give preference to applications that are located within a brownfield, provide an environmental justice net public benefit within a low-income, urban, or environmental justice community, provide job creation and job training for.
