New Jersey Department of Agriculture regulates sale and distribution of hemp-derived consumable products.

The bill permits the Department of Agriculture to regulate the sale and distribution of hemp-derived consumable products in New Jersey. It requires businesses involved in manufacturing, distribution, or sale of these products to obtain a license. The bill also imposes a 6% tax on retail sales of these products, with 1% of the tax revenue designated for social equity programs. It prohibits selling products to individuals under 21 years of age, distributing samples in public spaces, and selling products with a delta-9 THC concentration exceeding 0.3% on a dry weight basis.
